How To Add A Form Splitter

why do we need form splitter in D365?

ans: 1) It is used  to resize areas of a form in Microsoft Dynamics AX and D365 F&O.

     2) It improves the usability of the form, and increases productivity.

     3) Instead of continually scrolling back and forth, users have greater control of what is shown on the screen.

     4) Based on the way they are currently using the form, users may want to see more rows or columns of one area of the form compared to others.

There are two types of splitters:

 1) Vertical Splitter

 2) Horizontal Splitter

1) Vertical Splitter :

-> First, to see an example of a vertical form splitter, navigate to General ledger>Currencies>Currency exchange rates

-> In this example, this form uses the form pattern "Simple List and Details – Tabular Grid".

-> Next, there are several properties on the Group that must be set.

Set the 'Height Mode' property to 'Auto'

Set the 'Hide if Empty' property to 'No'

Set the 'Width Mode' property to 'Auto'

2) Horizontal Splitter :

-> Additionally, to see an example of a horizontal form splitter, navigate to Accounts payable>Broker and royalties>Broker claims.

-> Fortunately, in D365, adding a horizontal splitter to a form that uses pattern "Task Double" is very easy.

-> Next, there are several properties on the Group that must be set.

Set the 'Height Mode' property to 'Auto'

Set the 'Hide if Empty' property to 'No'

Set the 'Width Mode' property to 'SizeToAvailable'
